Direct, review and monitor work performed by the materials testing and inspection personnel.
With support from the Operations Manager, prepare and execute business plans for the New Mexico growth, development, and proposals.
Prepare cost estimates and proposals.
Participate in the training and mentoring of staff.
Certifications: Assures that all accreditations and certifications of the laboratory and staff are maintained and up to date.
Conduct annual and interim performance reviews. Monitor and assess progress toward performance goals.
With support from the Operation Manager, oversee and manage the success of the key group metrics of revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability.
Project Management: Manage projects from inception through completion and have primary responsibility for managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery, budget, and schedule meet expectations.
Review field and laboratory reports.
Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure that team members follow safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.

Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
Experience with AASHTO and ASTM test methods pertaining to construction materials, including HMA, aggregate, soils, steel, masonry, and concrete.
Experience overseeing materials testing and inspections.
Extensive knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
PE in New Mexico or obtain within 6 months of employment.
Develop an understanding and be aware of project-related risks. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
