Senior Fire Protection & Hydraulics Engineer

Here, you'll not only deliver fire and hydraulics design solutions, you'll also play a role in inspections, technical due diligence, project management, and client advisory. That means you're shaping the way complex buildings actually get delivered, not just how they look on paper.

You'd be the go-to senior in Melbourne for hydraulics and wet fire, supporting a team of project managers and engineers, while collaborating with interstate specialists.

• Coordinating with Sydney-based engineers and occasionally leading client discussions
• Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and technical due diligence
• Working closely with client-side PMs, giving you visibility on budgets, timelines, and delivery strategies
• Signing off across both disciplines (wet fire + hydraulics), or developing toward that capability
• Designing and reviewing fire and hydraulic systems for complex building upgrades

• Career scope: Exposure to client-side project management, not just design
• Experience in both fire and hydraulics (or fire with hydraulics exposure and a willingness to build capability further)
• Ideally with sign-off capability in VIC and working toward/holding accreditation in NSW (FPAS)
• Strong technical depth, with the confidence to provide practical solutions on site and in meetings
• Comfortable working autonomously as the Melbourne lead engineer while plugged into a national team
