

Diversified Detroit‑based energy company managing electric, gas utilities and non‑utility energy services.
This role is hybrid, requiring an established in‑person schedule at an assigned location, with any remote work performed from the employee’s primary residence according to company guidelines. The employee must be available for emergency response to storms or other events that affect customer service. The position is an entry‑level engineering role focused on routine technical work, applying standard engineering techniques, design, problem solving, and technical support to ensure optimal operation and maintenance of company assets. The engineer works collaboratively with field employees, technicians, and other engineers.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology is required; candidates who will complete their degree within nine months of applying are also considered, pending verification before starting the job.
Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word, basic analytical and problem‑solving abilities, strong time‑management, prioritization, and organization skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
