The Maintenance Technician assists with operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties and facilities.
Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC; cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices; installing and modifying equipment; replacing and repairing finishes like ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, paint, and flooring; inspecting for safety and malfunction; maintaining fire alarm and fire pump systems; performing carpentry and snow removal; following codes, regulations, and safety directives; using technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems; completing required C&W safety training; and adhering to the uniform dress code.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting, and technical proficiency. Desired competencies include initiative, flexibility, multitasking, and a sense of urgency. Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license and basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Compensation ranges from $18.70 to $22.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package with health, vision, dental, flexible spending, HSA, retirement, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off.
