Regional Equipment Specialist – East

Description

• Assist in coordinating operational activities across branches to align with company goals.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable equipment solutions are delivered.
• Contribute to planning efforts aimed at improving rental revenue, margins, and cost control.
• Support financial tracking related to asset ROI and rental performance.
• Support maintenance planning, safety compliance, and fleet right-sizing efforts.
• Provide input and encouragement to help strengthen team knowledge and skills.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and team-building activities.
• Support branch teams in building strong customer and vendor relationships.
• Maintain a consistent presence across branches to foster collaboration and communication.
• Assist with budgeting, procurement processes, and maintenance planning.
• Occasional travel across regional branches.
• Use rental and fleet software platforms to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to the development of rental-focused teams through active support and coordination.
• Help monitor rental schedules and equipment life cycles.
• Engage in market growth activities including business expansion, real estate planning, staffing, fleet planning, and financial oversight.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives that support regional growth and efficiency.
• Promote consistent service practices to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Assist in monitoring and improving equipment utilization and fleet readiness.
• Help gather and share data related to KPIs and rental performance metrics.
• Help ensure compliance with EHSP and regulatory standards (FMCSA, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, etc.).

Requirements

• Understanding of equipment procurement, rental cycles, and maintenance planning.
• Effective problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• BA or BS degree in Construction or related field of study preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• 5+ years of experience in equipment rentals, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Familiar with P2P systems (e.g. Coupa) and equipment rental software (e.g. RentalMan) preferred.
• Proficiency in technology-based applications – Microsoft Office suite and other industry support data applications.
