Description

• Lead and contribute to concept design and pre-DA development across a diverse retail and mixed-use portfolio.
• Provide strong technical input across site coordination, documentation, Revit modelling, 3D visualisation, and on-site design problem-solving.
• Manage external consultants through design development, ensuring high-quality, commercially aligned outcomes.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments, driving collaboration across internal teams, consultants, authorities, and delivery partners.

Requirements

A leading national property group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its high-performing design team in early 2026. Working closely with the National Design Manager and a small team of 4–5, this role also offers scope to help shape future team growth.

• Proven experience in retail design, ideally within a landlord, developer, or major tenant environment.
• Experience within Westfield or comparable large-format retail environments is highly advantageous.
• Architectural background (registration not essential).
• Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects and in environments without rigid structure.
• Apply sound knowledge of planning, masterplanning interfaces, BCA, Australian Standards, and DBP Act requirements.
• Skilled in Revit, documentation, and technical design resolution.
