The Master and Journeymen Plumber positions are an integral part of the RK Mission Critical manufacturing team. They are responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling the day‑to‑day execution of plumbing and controls on the manufacturing floor, while maintaining site‑specific safety and compliance objectives. They ensure project schedules stay on track, products are completed on time and within budget, and collaborate with product management on budget, productivity, change orders, and customer satisfaction.
These plumbers oversee the full lifecycle of plumbing systems, from installation and inspection to regular maintenance and continuous improvement, driving zero‑defect processes and on‑time delivery. They work closely with product managers, quality assurance, and cross‑functional teams to plan integration, manage waste, and uphold quality and code standards.
- Perform installation of plumbing systems on product builds
- Inspect installed plumbing systems on products
- Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for plumbing systems
- Follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections
- Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients
- Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at manufacturing facilities
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems to achieve zero defects
- Ensure on‑time delivery of products by reducing lead times and minimizing rework
- Identify and eliminate waste from the manufacturing processes utilizing lean concepts
- Champion an environment of collaboration and a focus on achieving results within the team
- Motivate team members to achieve plan goals and customer satisfaction
- Plan specific plumbing integration and assembly, prefab, approaches to procedures
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with all external and internal customers
- Assist product managers preparing construction schedules, goals and objectives
- Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
- Oversee plumbing quality assurance and quality control programs
- Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
- Mentor and train team members on plumbing basics
- Supervise team members during the production process
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present
- Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected
- RKMC employees are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirement of RK Mission Critical, LLC

Candidates must hold an active Master or Journeymen license with at least eight years of experience, preferably in industrial settings, and demonstrate strong leadership, lean‑manufacturing knowledge, and analytical skills. Physical demands include work in hazardous, confined, or high places, lifting up to 50 lb, and exposure to varied weather conditions. All employees are expected to follow company policies, prioritize safety, and may be assigned additional duties as needed.
- Active Master or Journeymen's license with 8+ years of plumbing experience (industrial preferred)
- Experience in field and prefab, pre‑assembly, modular or offsite manufacturing environments
- Must be a true believer in safety; OSHA 10‑30 preferred
- Effective as a leader of teams with formal supervisory authority
- Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and manage others to achieve results
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Skilled in data analysis using MS Excel or other tools to measure and manage performance
- Prior knowledge or ability to learn, understand, and provide feedback on estimates
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in reviewing and doing constructability reviews of 3D models and shop drawings
- Ability to take initiative and be self‑motivated
- Adaptable and flexible attitude, allowing for an approach to problem solving
- Ability to collaborate within a team
- Able to explain complex technical concepts to clients and business partners
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch
- Work in all types of weather
- Ability to lift, move and/or carry 50 lb occasionally
