The role involves developing initial design concepts and branding strategies aligned with owner requirements and market positioning, iterating interior concepts based on client vision, and employing creative thinking for innovative solutions. The designer prepares detailed implementation documents, oversees design detail preparation, collaborates across all design phases, leads documentation efforts, manages project schedules and finances, and conveys design requirements to the broader team. Additional duties include coordinating client presentations, negotiating critical issues, developing cost estimates, reviewing final design documents, and maintaining communication with vendors and contractors.

- Supervise preparation of design details and documentation by the project team.

- Lead documentation efforts for interior projects of varying sizes with minimal guidance.
- Manage project program documents, schedules, and finances to keep projects on track.
- Communicate design requirements and solutions to design and construction teams.
- Coordinate client presentations, public hearings, and negotiate critical issues.
- Develop cost estimates for design proposals.
- Review and approve final interior/exterior programming, design development documents, construction documents, furnishings selections, RFIs, and submittals.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other disciplines to integrate information into project requirements.
- Participate in product presentations to stay current on industry products and materials.
- Lead team meetings, prepare minutes, and facilitate technical coordination.
- Apply intermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo; AI design tools and VR platforms (e.g., Yulio).
- Deliver effective presentations and maintain organized documentation across multiple projects.
- Solve problems creatively and meet deadlines while collaborating in fast‑paced environments.

The firm seeks a recognized practitioner and certified Interior Designer with strong design and technical abilities to manage implementation documentation, firm resources, and mentor staff while embodying the company's values and mission.
Candidates must hold an accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, possess at least eight years of experience, and hold NCIDQ certification. Required technical proficiencies include advanced expertise in Revit, Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and visualization tools such as Twinmotion or Enscape, as well as intermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, AI design tools, and VR platforms. Additional competencies include knowledge of furniture specification software, sustainability guidelines, building codes, FF&E, and strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Travel may be required.
