The Safety Engineer will lead field‑focused safety initiatives, support project teams from pre‑construction through closeout, and reinforce Danis’s safety‑first culture. Reporting to the Safety Manager, this hands‑on role requires strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to team well‑being.
- Support jobsite safety programs and implement tailored safety plans from preconstruction through closeout.
- Facilitate safety planning meetings, including pre‑job and pre‑task safety reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
- Coach teams on safe work practices and provide real‑time field feedback.
- Conduct regular site audits, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead and support incident investigations to determine root causes and implement lasting solutions.
- Act as liaison between field employees, management, and external parties such as medical, insurance, and regulatory entities.
- Represent Danis in local safety associations and professional groups.
- Identify and deliver safety training based on site conditions and observed trends.
- Contribute to corporate safety initiatives, present in internal training sessions, and support monthly planning meetings.
- Provide practical, technical safety solutions by problem‑solving directly in the field.
- Participation in “Constructing Hope” community outreach program.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, have at least two years of construction safety experience, and possess strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction operations. Preferred certifications include CHST, OHST, ASP, CSP, or OSHA 500, along with excellent communication, coaching, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
The position is field‑first, requiring work on active construction sites in various weather conditions, with primarily local travel and occasional overnight stays.
