Description

The role involves operating the Epiroc DM45 platform drill, understanding its mechanical systems, and performing minor repairs as needed. The driller must follow all company, client, and legislative safety policies, recognize the equipment’s performance limits, and communicate effectively with team members, often working with minimal supervision.

• Operate and maintain the Epiroc DM45 platform drill, including minor mechanical repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, client requirements, and drilling regulations in an open‑pit mine.
• Work 12‑hour shifts on a 5‑days‑on/4‑days‑off rotation, with possible day/night rotations and overtime at time‑and‑a‑half.

Requirements

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Platform Driller to operate production drilling equipment safely and efficiently within a large open‑pit mining environment in Hawthorne or Fallon, Nevada. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, adheres to rigorous safety standards, and continuously seeks to expand technical skills while contributing to team success.

Candidates must have at least one year of surface‑mine drilling experience with various drill units, a solid understanding of drill patterns, and a valid MSHA p.48 metal/non‑metal ticket (training provided if required). Successful applicants will also pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
