This is a full-time, on‑site role located in Greater Houston for a Geospatial/Land Surveying Crew Chief/Survey Party Chief. The role includes leading survey crews in the field to perform topographic, boundary, ALTA, and building surveys using advanced equipment such as total stations and GPS, ensuring accuracy, conducting field calculations, maintaining equipment, coordinating with project managers, and implementing safety protocols.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a Geospatial/Land Surveying Crew Chief, be proficient in data collection for land surveys, skilled in the use of total stations and GPS equipment, possess strong technical math abilities, and understand safety procedures for fieldwork.
The ideal candidate demonstrates high attention to detail, strong problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills, a solid work ethic, a team‑player attitude, and a customer‑focused mindset, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations and offering ideas for improvement.
Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications or licensure in land surveying, TxDOT experience, familiarity with Trimble equipment, an associate’s degree in surveying, and exposure to 3D laser scanning and drone services, as well as experience on both commercial and municipal projects.
Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, have reliable transportation, be able to work outdoors in various conditions, and be willing to work overtime or travel as needed; a successful drug screening and background check are also required.
