The Role

Overview

Oversee solar site construction, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality.

Tasks

-Communicate regularly with the Project team and provide updates on project progress. -Will manage the sub vendors on site and work with the foreman from their sub vendors. -Taking pictures of progress and reporting back to the PM -Review and interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure work is executed according to specifications. -Oversee quality control, perform Quality Inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA and company policies. -Manage on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time. -A typical day will start with them on site in the trailer and managing the construction of the project. -They will be reporting directly into the construction manager for the projects and will be responsible for sending them daily reports of progress and safety. -Managing the inventory and deliveries on-site -Manage sub-contractors -Documenting information from other contractors / engineers and making sure the information gets passed along to the right people. -Construction Superintendents will be responsible for managing the day to day operations/administrative duties on site. -Coordination of work on site

What You Bring

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (civil, electrical, and mechanical) -Must be able to read blueprints and schematics. -No Solar or Superintendent experience required! -Familiar with Apple iPad's. -Strong experience in civil construction, electrical and mechanical in Solar Construction. -Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. -Strong leadership and communication skills. -Ability to travel as required. -Rooftop solar experience. -Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. -SWPPP certification, OSHA 30, NFPA70E, First Aid CPR and AED certifications are required. (We can get candidates these trainings prior to starting free of cost if they do not already have them.)
