Description

The operator will set up, run, and monitor slitting machines that cut large rolls of film, plastic, or other materials to the widths specified in production orders, while maintaining safety and quality standards. • Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines to cut materials to specified widths
• Review job specifications and verify material type, dimensions, and tolerances before each run
• Adjust machine speed, tension, and blade alignment for accurate slitting
• Load and unload rolls using appropriate material‑handling equipment while following safety procedures
• Inspect finished rolls for correct width, edge quality, and alignment
• Label, package, and document finished rolls per company and customer requirements
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and reduce waste
• Perform routine maintenance, including blade changes, cleaning, and lubrication
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or material defects to supervisors
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure consistent output and on‑time order completion
• Maintain accurate production logs and records of materials used
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
