Provider of electrical distribution solutions for utilities, industries, and infrastructure worldwide.
Assemble medium voltage switchgear, performing mechanical and electrical tasks.
Inspect components and assemblies to ensure correct component selection, placement, and wiring, according to quality standards.
Work with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality.
Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, deviations, and any quality concerns.
Mount components and route/secure cables as needed.
Seek clarification when instructions or processes are not understood.
Use an overhead crane and other material handling equipment to move and position materials for assembly. Verify quality standards via a quality assurance checklist. Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards, including the use of lifting devices and other ergonomic or safety devices when required. Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Perform basic electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including cutting, stripping, crimping, and labeling wires according to schematics and assembly instructions.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
Conduct buffing, grinding, and other clean-up of machined parts and components.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment, and materials. Report any safety hazards promptly.

0-1 year of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, which can include personal or hobby experience. Must have a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes, follow assembly instructions, and use various hand/power tools to assemble products. Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
Pulling: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance.
Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
Complete in-house training to learn how to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs).
Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in size from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs., along with a variety of hand-tools.
Pushing: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance.
Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
Overtime is Mandatory
