Finance Tax Intern - Summer

Description

The Tax Intern role supports the preparation of federal proforma and state and local income or franchise tax returns, estimates tax payments, and assists in calculating the quarterly tax provision.

Interns may be assigned to any Carrier segment, such as WHQ, HVAC, or Refrigeration, and will work with finance teams like Controllership & Accounting, FP&A, or Operations/Factory Finance. The program emphasizes active involvement in presentations, trainings, and events.

• Prepare federal proforma and state/local income or franchise tax returns.
• Compute estimated tax payments and assist with quarterly tax provision.
• Support finance teams including Controllership & Accounting, FP&A, or Operations/Factory Finance.
• Actively participate in presentations, trainings, and events.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and graduate after August 2025.
• Preferred: strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, collaborative mindset, initiative, and excellent time‑management.
• Preferred: proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and hold leadership roles in extracurricular activities.
