As the Distinguished Engineer, AI Transformation, you will define and guide the rapid, responsible, and outcome‑driven adoption of AI across Autodesk’s go‑to‑market (GTM) ecosystem. This role combines technical leadership, architecture expertise, and cross‑functional influence to embed AI into marketing, sales, commerce, and customer success systems.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will report to the Senior Director of Machine Learning, GET, and act as a trusted technical authority accountable for real business outcomes. The position balances strategic vision with pragmatic decision‑making, guiding build‑vs‑buy choices and ensuring alignment with Autodesk’s platform architecture.
- Define and maintain a strategic AI roadmap for GTM platforms covering personalization, conversational experiences, intelligent routing, and content optimization.
- Evaluate build‑vs‑buy decisions, balancing innovation speed, integration complexity, and governance standards.
- Provide guidance for ML practitioners, application developers, and business users to design, scale, and responsibly use AI within GTM workflows.
- Develop deep familiarity with Autodesk’s GTM technology stack (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe, Marketo, Gainsight, Segment) to identify optimal AI integration points.
- Embed responsible AI principles—transparency, fairness, explainability—in partnership with Trust and Legal teams.
- Create and codify reusable AI patterns such as retrieval‑augmented generation, recommendation systems, and conversational frameworks.
- Establish measurement frameworks linking AI initiatives to business outcomes like conversion lift, engagement quality, and customer lifetime value.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and GTM leaders to align AI strategy and ensure cohesive execution across the customer journey.
- Develop enablement programs, documentation, and forums to raise AI fluency across GET and GTM partners.

Within Growth Experience Technology (GET), which builds the data platforms and intelligent experiences powering Autodesk’s GTM motions, you will translate AI intent into durable architectures, reusable patterns, and operating models that scale. Your focus is on turning strategy into concrete implementations that accelerate growth and deepen customer engagement.
- Minimum qualifications: advanced degree or equivalent, 15‑20 years software experience, 5+ years in AI/ML or data strategy, proven ability to operationalize technology in large matrixed orgs, deep AI ecosystem knowledge, familiarity with Responsible AI, strong analytical and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications: experience leading AI strategy in large digital or GTM organizations, hands‑on with enterprise GTM systems, expertise in ML platform operations and data architecture, track record scaling AI prototypes to production, expert in data‑informed decision making.
