Safety Specialist| Baltimore, MD

Description

In this role, the Safety Specialist will promote safety compliance across commercial construction sites, lead team briefings, and oversee incident investigations and equipment safety checks.

• Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects to ensure OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings and perform safety audits and inspections
• Complete accident reports, investigate incidents, and ensure proper use of PPE
• Inspect power tools and heavy equipment, including fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience
• OSHA 30‑hour Construction certification and First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and experience with fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and alignment with HazTek’s core values of integrity, compassion, dependability, leadership, and accountability
