

In this role you will keep automation projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and leading checkout and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You will partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems, providing clear communication and updates to customers and project teams while rotating on various travel schedules.

We seek candidates who genuinely love travel and can live within 50 miles of a major airport, possess a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking, and demonstrate adaptability, grit, strong communication, and problem‑solving skills. A technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering is required, along with a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment and authorization to work in the U.S.
The position requires the ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods in varied environments such as construction sites and outdoors. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work, requiring a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. Candidates lacking experience in these areas may not be ready for this position.

Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000, plus per‑diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a 5 % raise after six months.
