Senior Structural CAD\BIM Designer

Description

We are hiring a Senior Structural Designer for our Toronto office to lead the creation of 3D structural models and 2D drawing packages for built‑environment projects. The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to maintain design quality and accuracy.

• Create 3D structural models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare 2D drawing packages from design models.
• Develop general arrangement and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and project engineering teams on design requirements.
• Generate sheets and views with minimal supervision.
• Produce technical drawings from sketches, selecting appropriate scales and details.
• Enforce drawing policies and procedures.
• Manage project stages within established timelines and budgets.
• Run clash detection exercises and apply necessary corrections.
• Mentor junior designers on project assignments.

Requirements

• 10‑15 years of experience in structural design of concrete and steel structures.
• Associate degree or higher in automated drawing, civil/structural engineering technology, or related field (or pursuing degree).
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Dynamo, Safe, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise, Rhino, Rhino Inside Revit, Grasshopper, CSIxRevit is a plus.
• Ability to meet cost, quality, and deadline objectives.
• Effective time‑management and adaptability to change.
