Itron is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for its Bangalore location. The role requires 4–5 years of experience and involves working rotational night shifts to meet customer needs. Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable with shift work.
The role demands solid knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking concepts, and ITIL incident management. Required technical skills include scripting (Perl, Bash, Python), database querying (PostgreSQL), web technologies (HTTP, SSL, RESTful APIs), cloud platforms (Azure), container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk), and messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka). Familiarity with debugging tools such as curl, Postman, Fiddler, and Chrome DevTools, as well as analysis of Java heap dumps, thread dumps, and application logs, is also essential.
