Description

The Plant Engineer role oversees, manages, and maintains maintenance and engineering functions for a single manufacturing facility. The position is responsible for capital and maintenance budgets, capex planning, equipment reliability, productivity improvements, staffing of the maintenance department, and energy management. It includes a base salary of $117,800–$162,000 plus incentive bonus.

• Manage, staff, and coordinate the Maintenance department.
• Schedule maintenance activities on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
• Develop and manage Capex programs and report monthly on spend.
• Control the plant maintenance budget and report monthly on expenditures.
• Maintain capital assets and track equipment reliability programs.
• Support and drive productivity improvements across the facility.
• Implement and lead maintenance skills development programs.
• Manage plant energy programs and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
• Partner with Plant Leadership to achieve business goals.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and have at least six years of manufacturing project engineering experience, including two years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, environmental and safety regulations, SAP modules, and proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities are required. Lean and Six Sigma experience is strongly preferred, and the role involves occasional lifting and limited travel.

• Expert problem‑solving, analytical, and quality improvement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 lb; minimal travel (~2 weeks per year).
