Supports the OFSE commercial organization in identifying and pursuing opportunities related to early engagement.
Input and hand-off support to tender, detail engineering and execution phases
Use and develop internal systems and software tools for undertaking engineering tasks leading to safe and successful delivery of jobs
Supporting the study manager with technical interface, change control, technical variations, and general delivery of the scope.
Voice of customer input to R&D product initiatives, field optimization and hardware design reviews
Independent peer review and auditing, mentoring junior team members, identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making
Represent Baker Hughes at external events and conferences and support internal training initiatives on systems engineering
Project engineering and lead role for system definition and layout from feasibility or concept definition phase to FEED
Seek out and promote application of new technology to enable promotion and positioning of Baker Hughes to the market
Assists in preparing study proposals as part of a proposals team or technical peer reviewer
Interface definition and management between Baker Hughes’ global product teams, delivery partners and towards the client
Ensuring the work is performed in accordance with Baker Hughes’ Quality Management Systems.
Development of subsea system field concepts and optimization: providing leadership and expertise through consideration of full project lifecycle aspects: design, manufacturing, installation, hookup/commissioning, operability, decommissioning
Reporting of engineering progress, technical and interface matters in project meetings and progress reports of assigned tasks and CTRs.
Liaising with clients to ensure their project requirements are understood and that their needs are being met, managing technical expectations / scope boundaries and ensuring they are aware of the data input requirements to allow the study to proceed on-schedule.

Availability to travel internationally for customer meetings, project needs and for short term assignments
Master’s Degree or bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience (Oil & Gas operator, Subsea Equipment Manufacturer, SURF contractor or Offshore Renewables desirable but not essential)
Broad knowledge of processes, methods and procedures within project and engineering management, systems engineering and decision analysis framework (INCOSE, AACE, APM or PRINCE2 certification desirable but not essential)
Proven experience in design and selection across one or more of the following: Field architecture/Flow assurance/process engineering/Subsea Production Systems/Risers, flowlines and pipelines/Control systems/Constructability and installation
Location: Role based in London, Aberdeen, Bristol, or Florence with flexible working options considered
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrable technical leadership experience. Provides technical leadership as required on studies, projects and other tasks assigned by line manager. Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Demonstrable depth of experience in project engineering within a multi-disciplinary environment
