The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations as outlined in the safety and health manual, maintaining good housekeeping standards on site. All standard operating procedures must meet specifications, quality standards, and statutory and regulatory requirements, while promoting safe working practices to prevent incidents.
The incumbent will prepare and conduct risk analysis (RA) and job hazard analysis (JHA), and determine manpower needs in consultation with the Project Manager, Commissioning Manager, or yard manager. Proficiency with testing procedures and relevant regulatory rules is essential, as is the ability to identify system or subsystem boundaries and develop appropriate inspection check sheets.
Commissioning responsibilities include preparing procedures according to specifications, ensuring site safety for testing, coordinating work in VSCC, obtaining permits, and implementing lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) measures. The role also involves inspecting equipment, defining preservation requirements, scheduling Service Engineers, and allocating testing tasks to supervisors and sections.
Effective coordination with Engineering, Estimating & Analysis, Project Management, Quality Assurance, clients, classification surveyors, owners, and government bodies is required to manage commissioning activities, plan and schedule logistics, and ensure timely project completion. Attendance at factory acceptance tests (FAT) and other equipment testing, as well as managing staff career development and training, are also part of the duties.
Candidates must hold at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering with valid welding inspection and non‑destructive examination certificates (ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor) and possess 7–10 years of relevant EPC experience in oil & gas, offshore renewables, or related systems. The position is based at Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd., Tuas Boulevard Yard, Singapore, with working hours Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am‑5:15 pm and Friday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm; applications should include an updated resume, salary expectations, and availability.
