Interns will support technical staff on daily project tasks, converting field‑collected electronic files into Autodesk Civil 3D drawings and assisting senior staff with a variety of surveys and map products. The role includes both office duties—such as data reduction, calculations, and staking computations—and field work as an Instrument Man on control, topographic, and pipeline surveys, while collaborating with junior and senior engineers to meet project deadlines.
Candidates should be pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, land surveying, geomatics, CADD, or engineering technologies, and must have reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include basic AutoCAD knowledge, strong written and verbal communication, solid problem‑solving abilities, high‑pace work adaptability, and proficiency with MS Office. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to forty pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as fluency in English.
The internship offers exposure to multidisciplinary engineering and design projects, networking opportunities through the Career Exploration Series, and professional development activities such as reflections, problem‑solving contests, and end‑of‑summer presentations. Interns have a strong chance of receiving full‑time offers after graduation and can access resources like education reimbursement, in‑house courses, mentorship, wellness programs, and philanthropic initiatives.
