The Production Assistant will support the Production Manager in meeting production targets, quality standards, cost effectiveness, and productivity. The role focuses on achieving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Develop productivity improvements while maintaining labor effectiveness.
- Monitor and calibrate measurement/testing equipment in production.
- Identify and implement corrective actions for workmanship quality defects.
- Establish best work practices to meet daily production targets and weekly plans.
- Deliver classroom training for shop floor workers on specific job applications.
- Lead the production department in meeting Cx, ISO, and EH&S standards.
- Manage the fixed assets list and indirect material ordering/replenishment.
- Participate in company initiatives such as Kaizen events and EH&S activities.
- Approve leave requests for bargainable workers under supervision.
