Detailed stress analysis of both metallic and nonmetallic piping, evaluating conditions such as: elevated temperature service, low temperature/cryogenic service, piping loads at sensitive equipment such as steam turbines, pumps, compressors/expanders and air-cooled heat exchangers, pulsating service, flow-induced vibration, and transient loads.
Initiate contact with other disciplines as needed to identify and coordinate details of the work.
Prepare purchase specifications and administer pipe support purchase order contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
Apply understanding of client interests and drivers to their own behavior and performance of the work under his/her responsibility.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience relevant to pipe stress analysis and piping design.
Working knowledge of AutoPIPE and Caesar II stress analysis software.
Intermediate knowledge of other design standards and specifications such as API, ASTM, and AWWA.
Intermediate knowledge of other disciplines, industry and technology trends, company quality program, principals of construction and constructability practices, and procurement and contract administration.
Working knowledge of processes and procedures for project controls and estimating.
Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.
Technical depth in both the ASME B31.1 ASME B31.3 Pressure Piping Codes, as well as using engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to piping design.
This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also be require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, II, III, and VIII.
