The Consulting Utility Forester role is an outdoor position that involves identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility corridors, preparing reports with recommendations, and coordinating tree‑clearance crews while liaising with clients, crews, and customers.
- Perform tree and brush identification, inspection, and evaluation along utility lines.
- Submit inspection reports with clearance recommendations to clients.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate assigned tree‑clearance crews.
- Negotiate access issues and serve as liaison among clients, crews, and customers.

Candidates should hold a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a related field, or possess at least two years of utility vegetation management experience. Preferred qualifications include vegetation‑management background, GIS and Microsoft Office proficiency, strong communication, self‑motivation, and the ability to work independently in varied terrain and weather.
- Hold a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or related field, or 2 years relevant experience.
- Prefer experience in utility vegetation management and GIS data collection.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exhibit self‑motivation, organization, and production‑oriented work style.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; manage multiple tasks and time efficiently.
- Work independently in varied terrain and inclement weather; flexible to nights and weekends.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Pre‑employment drug screening and background check required.
