The role requires managing the relationship between IT and Central Development, acting as the business’s advocate within IT, and building trust across both sides. You will co‑define and refine business needs, monitor project progress, and ensure that business stakeholders receive timely updates and feedback. Raising awareness of IT capabilities and emerging technology trends to support the Development business is also essential.
Key skills include senior stakeholder management and communication, deep knowledge of central planning, design, cost planning and development management, and strong understanding of IT systems such as GIS and Project Controls. You must be able to translate requirements into optimal IT solutions, generate business insights, and shape the technology roadmap and business cases, leveraging experience in IT project management within construction, real estate or government sectors.
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field is required, with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates should have at least 10 years of IT management experience, including 5 years in business relationship management, extensive experience aligning business and IT, and a proven track record of leading strategic IT initiatives in complex environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
