Schedules work, communicates schedule information to the project team, and monitors manpower requirements
May travel to and navigate construction sites, some of which may be at high altitudes or small spaces with dirt or dust particles
Coordinates with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, implement operating procedures, and provide technical information
Frequent travel (about 30-50% of the time) to visit job sites and attend meetings, conferences, and events
Frequently use a computer for several hours at a time
May need to periodically ride swing stages and boom lifts on a job site as necessary
Monitors accounts receivables on projects and initiates corrective action as needed
Frequently work outdoors on a roof, or otherwise at a project site for several hours at a time
Completes the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders and communicates project scope and requirements to the project team
May assist management in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues within the Enclosure group
Manages the design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout for roofing specific projects
Supervises the job close out process to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are complete
Assists Cx Project Managers with roofing specific tasks on Building Enclosure projects
Identifies, negotiates, and administers fees for additional services
May participate in planning and budgeting processes, which include preparing monthly billing projections and budget metrics as required by management
May need to periodically maneuver over, under, and around barriers as well as climb ladders on a job site
Oversees the profitability of the project by negotiating fees and contracts as may be appropriate, participating in the budgeting process, and ensuring that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Works with the client to understand schedule expectations and, with team input, proposes interim milestones to the schedule for proper information flow, adjusting as necessary throughout the project
Coordinates activities of the project team and contractors during the design and construction phases
Performs and directs detailed roof condition assessments and corresponding reporting
Prepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projects
Performs or directs others to perform project job site visits to investigate field conditions, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes during construction
Facilitates communication between the client and the project team; documents important issues
Frequently travel by car or plane to visit job sites and attend meetings, conferences, and events

Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field and five years related project experience OR
Knowledge of project approach and systems design

Relationship Management Skills – ability to create, maintain, and strengthen authentic relationships with clients

Professional Engineer Licensure preferred
