The Power Systems Technical Leader is accountable for the development and implementation of the overall technical solution during the execution phase of a project, program, or portfolio. Their scope includes the breadth of the SE portfolio regardless of BU or geography. While primarily an execution role, the Technical Lead supports Sales, Solution Architects, Proposals, and Tendering during the sales phase of an opportunity.
- Identify critical technical and/or project issues, identify corrective actions and follow through to resolution.
- Become primary technical resource with Project Manager on assigned projects.
- Utilize defined document management practices.
- Ensuring design changes are captured by the change control process
- Determine corrective actions and follow through to resolution.
- Take ownership for validating the project's technical scope of work.
- Support technical coordination between internal technical teams that may include multiple BUs and geographies
- Monitor and manage project execution activities within the established scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain active tracking of project issues and risks.
- Ensuring the quality of the technical deliverables
- Supervision and monitoring of activities in accordance with the contract, statutory requirements, and applicable technical standards; ensuring a consistent standard from all technical groups
- Lead technical initiatives, such as value engineering
- Identify critical technical and/or project issues, schedule or financial risks identify.
- Serve as a common conduit between the customer and internal technical teams for systems level technical topics across all projects

Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Lead to join our growing cross-business unit execution team. This role will reside in the NAM Power Systems Execution Team and can be based out of one of Schneider Electric’s design hubs, including Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Raleigh, NC, or Columbia, SC.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of handling a high volume of complex matters.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Must have Low Voltage and Medium Voltage products.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office programs, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Successful execution of the technical scope at a systems level across the entire SE offer
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering / technical field. Advanced engineering degree preferred.
- Ability to work independently and remain focused in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Track record of delivering results.
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Must have electrical system design
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions with customers and internal teams
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Normal work schedule is Monday to Friday but may vary based on project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional or modified working days and/or hours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team success.
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in Engineering / Technical Leadership within Large and Complex Projects, involving multiple business units, spanning multiple years.
- Strong leadership skills, including team building, empowering and delegating authority, and building rapport and consensus.
