- Contribute to change requests by advising on programme impacts.
- Support project teams in developing safe and efficient construction methodologies.
- Produce tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement, including design release and lead-in activities.
- Track subcontractor programmes and produce as-built records highlighting variances.
- Develop baseline contract programmes covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Create 2D and 4D phasing models to illustrate sequencing, logistics and project methodologies.
- Undertake peer reviews of planning outputs to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain accurate planning documentation within collaborative data environments (CDEs).
- Monitor risks and opportunities, applying mitigation measures, float and time risk allowances.
- Mentor and support assistant/graduate planners, contributing to their professional development.
- Prepare target programmes that identify opportunities for improvement against contract requirements.
- Report regularly to project and regional leadership on programme performance and risks.

- Evidence of continuous professional development (e.g., CPD events, professional body involvement)
- Strong IT skills and ability to work with digital planning/reporting tools
- Proven experience in planning within complex construction projects
- Training in Synchro, BIM, or contract awareness (NEC, JCT).
- Experience with 4D planning tools such as Synchro
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU construction contract frameworks (e.g., NEC, JCT)
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Certification or advanced training in planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject).
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Training in presentation or leadership skills.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and collaborative data environments (CDEs)
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a professional body such as CIOB, ICE, or APM.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Advanced training in planning software (e.g., progress analysis, S-curve reporting, cost/resource management).
- Proficiency in planning and programme management software (e.g., Asta Powerproject)
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
