The role involves extensive field work in various environments, requiring physical stamina to walk up to ten miles a day, lift up to 60 lb, navigate rugged terrain, and operate field equipment and vehicles under all weather conditions.

Candidates must hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or a related field—or have equivalent experience—along with forestry or arboriculture background, knowledge of tree identification, GIS proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work alone in diverse weather and terrain while demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, multitasking, and detail‑orientation skills.
Preferred qualifications include a Certified ISA Arborist credential and bilingual ability in Spanish.
