- Producing Detailed Design Packages (for external review).
- Carry out Site Surveys on Electrical Transmission & Gas Transmission Sites (UK mainland).
- Designing Security Systems (Door Access, CCTV, Power Fence etc).
- Follow own (and others) Designs through to 3rd Party approval/appraisal, construction, commissioning and project completion/handover (Cradle to Grave).
- For ensuring that company management systems and processes are adhered to.
- To be proactively involved in supporting the Design Team and Construction Team throughout the duration of the project.
- Produce Block Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Wiring Schematics.
- Designing AC UPS Systems.
- Producing Concept Design Packages (for internal review).
- For promoting good practice of Hazard removal or mitigation during the Design Phase.
- Designing DC Systems.
- Proactively attend and input at HAZID/HAZCON/Design Assurance & Review Meetings.
- To mentor and develop new and existing engineers within their roles.
- Producing RFI's and TQ's.
- Proactively manage Design Change Control, identify project risks and devise contingency plans.
- Carry out Site Surveys (using client site specific specifications).
- Produce Detailed Electrical Designs & Detailed Security Designs (LV & ELV) in line with Legislation, Customer Specification, Technical Standards, Quality & Environmental Standards.
- Produce Cable Schedules, Load Schedule, Material Schedules and Equipment Schedules.
- Designing Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage AC Sytems.
- Develop best practices and tools for design execution management.

- Must be focused on all design safety, environmental and quality.
- REVIT BIM Experience.
- Amtech Electrical Design Software (or ElectricalOM).
- 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) or willing to learn Revit.
- Be able to switch from one project to another should the priority change.
- Must have good communication skills in both verbal and the use of written English language.
- 2D Drawings (General Arrangement/Site Layout/Kiosks/Rooms/Building's etc).
- EUSR - SHEA Gas
- Previous EC&I/Security Installation Experience (hands on).
- 18 Edition Wiring Regulations (2382).
- DSEAR Experience.
- Must be able to provide detailed attention to appropriate design methodology.
- Hazardous Area Design Experience (ATEX & IECEx Standards/Ex12).
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (Ideally BEng in Electrical Engineering).
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards).
- Level 4 Design and Varification of Electrical Installations (2396).
- Previous Security Design Experience for UK Transmission (GT or ET).
- Must be able to assess information, evaluate solutions and devise appropriate course of action.
- Proactive communication with the Design Team & Project Management Team.
- Must be able to interface professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Proactive communication with the P6 Planners.
- Must be able to recognise, manage and shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Persuasive, encouraging and motivating.
- Must be computer literate in IT skills.
