We’re seeking a Director, Policy to lead strategic initiatives that shape renewable energy policy at the federal, state, and local levels. This person will develop and execute policy strategies that enable project development, advocate for supportive legislation and regulation, and represent the company’s interests with policymakers, agencies, and industry groups. The ideal candidate combines deep policy expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • 5–7 years of experience in renewable energy policy, ideally within solar, storage, or related sectors.
  • Proven success advancing policy or regulatory outcomes in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of interconnection, permitting, and market structures for distributed energy.
  • Established network within legislative, regulatory, or industry groups relevant to clean energy.
  • Experience in community solar, distributed generation, or grid-edge technologies.
  • Strong organizational and relationship management abilities.
