Provide creative and innovative thinking to analyze and develop strategy and value engineering solutions.
Work with scheduling staff and Operations to develop accurate and precise bid schedules
Perform and review quantity takeoff comparisons to provide evaluation for accuracy and acceptance
Review opportunity pursuits and develop preliminary budget estimate and itemized summary for go/no-go evaluation.
Present complete and accurate estimates to ensure confidence in decision making.

A remote/hybrid arrangement is available with the right experience preferably with Illinois DOT experience. Depending on residing location, travel may be increased.
Highly knowledgeable in earthwork, underground drainage, sewer, watermain and general roadway construction. ILDOT experience is preferred
Highly motivated self-starter
Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil estimating. A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be considered
Must be capable managing time for self and ability to prioritize and schedule efficiently
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Effective communication and interaction with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers
This position is ideally based in one of our local offices: Rockford IL, Indianapolis IN or Springfield, IL.

Thrive in fast-paced environment with ability to deliver under deadlines
Limited travel will be required for pre-bids, site walks, owner meetings, home office, etc.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management and related field experience
Bluebeam and AutoCad experience is a plus
Extensive experience with earthwork and underground is required, PCC paving and concrete knowledge is a plus
