In this role, you will have the ability to lead, develop, manage and motivate an emerging team of engineers, technicians and scientist with a focus on all aspects of structural scopes of work for clients in various industries and markets. The successful candidate will have the freedom and flexibility to continue to grow the team based on Vancouver.
- Helping to maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Train, coach, supervise, and mentor staff with their career growth and professional development.
- Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines within the company to execute projects.
- Participate in and promote KGS Group’s safety-first culture.
- Coordinating with external consultants, vendors as required to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Tracking and managing key performance metrics for the department
- Lead, develop, manage, and motivate an emerging team of engineers, technicians and scientists with a focus on hydro structural work.
- Participate in business development activities, including assessing Go/No-Go opportunities with the Market Lead and Regional Manager, while leading and writing proposals.
- Produce, supervise, and manage engineering deliverables on a variety of projects.

- Experience working directly with clients and managing/fostering existing relationships in addition to forming new ones.
- Highly proactive with exceptional problem solving/analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with EGM.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and propensity for business development will be considered a strong asset for this role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint).
- 15 years or more of structural engineering experience.
- Strong project management, leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills, and ability to provide effective technical mentoring to less experienced engineers.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce, review, and delegate technical reports, proposals and other forms of non-formal written communication.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 annually.
