Hire Controller

This is a great opportunity to join a well established rental business supplying equipment across the construction and industrial sectors. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive a fast, professional and reliable service

• Act as the main point of contact for customers, handling hire enquiries by phone and email
• Handle customer issues or complaints professionally, escalating where necessary
• Proactively maximise hire opportunities and fleet utilisation
• Coordinate the delivery and collection of equipment with the transport and operations teams
• Provide accurate quotations and hire agreements in line with company pricing and availability
• Manage off-hire requests, extensions and contract amendments promptly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers
• Maintain accurate records within the hire management system, ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Liaise with the workshop to ensure all equipment is ready for hire and meets safety standards

Are you an experienced Hire Controller looking to join a forward-thinking rental company with a strong reputation for service and teamwork?

• Previous experience in a Hire Controller, Hire Desk, or Service Controller role within the rental industry (plant, tool, or equipment hire)
• Excellent communication, organisation and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive with a customer focused approach
