The primary mission is to oversee the entire bidding process, from initial customer contact through contract signing, while planning, monitoring, and reporting on bid and production costs. The role involves identifying competitive advantages, shaping bid strategy, and acting as the single point of contact for customers in collaboration with the Account Manager or Director.
Key responsibilities include providing technical support to persuade customers, preparing detailed scopes of work, commercial calculations and delivery schedules, and optimizing solutions in coordination with engineering and supply‑chain teams. The role requires regular communication with clients about new technologies, risk assessment, compliance with internal and external regulations, and adherence to Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
Candidates must possess deep knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, metro‑rail, solar, wind and industrial segments, as well as expertise in relays, protection systems, SAS architectures, and control IEDs such as BCU, BCPU, RTU, data concentrators and gateways. Familiarity with Hitachi Energy Grid Automation products and the ability to interpret single‑line diagrams, layouts, BOMs and specifications for bid preparation is essential.
