In this role you will assist the Project Manager with daily coordination of safety, quality, cost, schedule and compliance activities. You will help organize integrated project teams, track actions from meetings, compile documentation for stage‑gate reviews, and maintain auditable project records. You will serve as a liaison among internal teams, subcontractors, vendors and partners, and support the preparation of client‑facing materials.
- Support the Project Manager through all Acquire‑Comply‑Execute stages.
- Coordinate Integrated Project Teams across Operations, Safety/Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Participate in project meetings, track actions, and prepare documentation.
- Compile artifacts and maintain auditable records for stage‑gate reviews.
- Facilitate communication among internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and partners.
- Prepare client‑facing materials and meeting agendas under guidance.
- Track subcontractor deliverables, RFIs, and submittals for timely response.
- Support monthly forecasting, cost tracking, trend logs, and variance analysis.
- Ensure cost documentation complies with DCAA audit requirements.
- Identify schedule risks or variances and alert the Project Manager.
- Maintain compliance with FAR/DFARS, DCAA, CUI protection, and ISO 9001.
- Maintain site‑specific plans such as APP/JHAs, Environmental Plans, and QCPs.
- Update risk and opportunity logs, track action items, and assist with closeout.
- Prepare weekly progress reports, three‑week look‑ahead schedules, and CPI/SPI metrics.
- Upload and version‑control all project documents in the QGS OPS Platform.
- Develop project management competencies toward future Project Manager responsibilities.
- Participate in training, certifications, and mentoring opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience on federal or commercial construction projects (preferably $1M+), a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, and holds or will obtain PMP (or CAPM) certification. Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, DCAA, and ISO 9001 requirements, strong organization, attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential for success in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
- 2–4 years experience supporting federal or commercial construction projects (preferred $1M+).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred; PMP required within a defined period for advancement.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; QGS will support acquisition if not held at hire.
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DCAA, and basic federal construction compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed, fast‑paced federal contracting environment.
