Reporting to the shift Warehouse Lead or Receiving Manager, the Receiving Associate is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to receiving material into the distribution facility. This role ensures that inbound products are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key duties include verifying products against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and ensuring items are placed in the correct locations. The associate operates machinery such as forklifts and cherry pickers safely, puts away stock using appropriate devices, and maintains the cleanliness of the receiving area, loading docks, and trash zones. Consistent communication with management and branch personnel is essential to coordinate workflow.
Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to use NEFCO’s ERP system and warehouse layouts for planning. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook, are a plus. Candidates must possess a positive, hard‑working attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently, multitask, and meet physical demands such as standing for long periods, working in various climate conditions, and safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
The position follows a Monday‑Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with overtime available based on company needs. This is a non‑exempt role eligible for overtime compensation.
