To manage selected projects, project task/responsibilities as assigned, and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality, and timeframe targets.
Prepare and register all relevant documentation and design reports and ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with the Arcadis and customer requirements.
Liaise with Project Manager, BIM Manager and BIM Coordinators assigned to projects.
Taking personal responsibility for the preparation of detailed engineering documentation and leading the engineering effort for project providing technical and performance oversight for team members.
To deliver fully documented designs to meet Client objectives and Arcadis quality system requirements.
Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the project's requirements.
Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables including complex reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages with the UK ET Team.
Prepare document and drawing package for the appropriate project design submission stage complying with codes and standards and delivering the design with high quality.
Actively continue to develop technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.
Leading interdisciplinary coordination as required for the project.
Leading technical issue resolution processes.
Develop skills and knowledge base of more junior engineers assigned on projects.
Apply engineering knowledge, techniques and tools complying with international design standards and UK Codes and Standards relevant to the assigned project.
To develop technical competency of direct reports / junior team members and ensure application of relevant international / UK standards and engineering knowledge in various projects.

Have knowledge of drafting and BIM, how to define BIM outcomes, BIM processes, how to coordinate a BIM project within the 3D environment and how to apply design to the models they produce.
Understanding scope and change in scope when it arises.
Graduate in Bachelor of Technology/ Science in Electrical Engineering from recognized University.
The ability to develop cable thermal rating design using CYMCAP and AMTECH for LV systems design.
Experience in the production of CAD documentation to UK Standards and other international design standards.
At least 14 years’ experience in substation primary design, preferably in a consulting environment.
The ability to develop maintenance strategies and procedures, commissioning plans and documentation.
Professional registration with any leading engineering body such as IET UK is preferred.
Ability to lead, and provide technical solutions to problems with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills.
Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.
At least 2 years’ experience in design & drafting electrical infrastructure in UK, general familiarity with the electricity supply industry, electricity transmission and distribution practices.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in processes from concept stage to construction and as-built drawings will also be beneficial.
Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management.
HV transmission and distribution substations primary electrical design, layout design, specification of plant, coordination of civil design, earthing system analysis and design.
Consulting experience in power projects in UK is preferred.
The ability to develop complex earthing and induction models in CDEGS earthing system software.
