Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The team maintains the reliability and resiliency of PG&E's extensive distribution and transmission grid, encompassing 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of transmission lines. Employees apply Lean methodology and visual management to identify problems, create standard work, and deliver solutions as one unified team of roughly 6,500 coworkers.
The Change Management Consultant provides expert consultation on change management approaches, plans, and practices, supporting major initiatives across the organization. They identify communication and training opportunities, evaluate and measure results, and cultivate relationships to achieve desired impacts. The role also integrates OCM methodology into governance processes and leverages industry best practices.
In this role, the consultant will lead and champion change management strategies for large‑scale projects, collaborate with project teams and stakeholders, measure outcomes, and develop new tools and processes to strengthen the department’s capabilities.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and possess at least ten years of change management experience on large‑scale technology deployments, along with a background in coaching, mentoring, and project management. A graduate degree in organization development or a related field is desired.
The position is hybrid, allowing work from a remote office and an assigned location within the PG&E service territory as business needs dictate. Compensation is based on a locality‑specific salary range, with the Bay Area range from $136,000 to $232,000 and the California range from $129,000 to $220,000, subject to factors such as skills, experience, and internal equity.
