The Technical Designer manages the technical and production design of signage projects from concept through fabrication, including ADA signage, Sign Agent projects, and other specialized or custom signs that require precision and construction detail. The ideal candidate has experience in sign manufacturing, construction, or architectural environments and focuses on technical execution rather than pure graphic design.

- Develop shop drawings that are ready for fabrication.
- Interpret architectural plans, elevations, and sign location documents to ensure design accuracy and code compliance.
- Specify appropriate materials, substrates, and construction methods for each signage application.
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to produce technically accurate designs.
- Lead coordination of complex, custom, and detail‑oriented signage projects, including ADA packages and illuminated signs.
- Manage Sign Agent and ADA signage workflows and coordinate with outsourced vendors for quotes and orders.
- Conduct site surveys and field measurements as required.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries about job status, quotes, and project updates.
- Follow ordering and purchase‑order procedures accurately and maintain schedule communication with internal teams and clients.
- Update Job Center, track project time by branch/project, and assist with stretch assignments such as ADA estimating, custom orders, and process improvements.
- Serve as liaison for technical projects, ensuring organized documentation and meeting client needs.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
