

Provides testing, inspection, and certification services across multiple sectors.
The NDT Level II Technician is responsible for overseeing the completion of non‑destructive testing inspections in accordance with industry codes, standards, and company procedures. The role includes maintaining advanced NDT expertise, providing on‑the‑job training, and mentoring Level I and trainee technicians. On‑call, overtime, and occasional travel are required.
Core duties involve performing field inspections, preparing required paperwork, ensuring equipment is calibrated and functional, and applying testing criteria for both conventional and advanced NDT methods. The technician also sets up work‑area boundaries, provides orientation and mentorship, promotes safety, and represents Applus+ with external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Successful candidates exhibit strong technical knowledge of NDT techniques, familiarity with industry codes and radiation safety, and the ability to interpret technical documents in the field. They possess excellent report‑writing, customer‑service, communication, and organizational skills, and can thrive under high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environments. Proficiency with MS Office and a continuous‑improvement mindset are also required.
Applicants must hold a mandatory CGSB Level II certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 3‑5 years of NDT inspection experience. A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
The role requires work in diverse weather conditions, use of personal protective equipment, and occasional exposure to noisy or uneven surfaces. Flexible scheduling, overtime, and travel across Canada are common. The position may involve work outside normal business hours.
