Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, ensuring cash resources meet working capital requirements and optimize interest income and cash discounts
Report precise work in progress and percentage of completion of construction projects
Assist senior management in preparing the annual 5-Year business plan
Mentor junior staff
Calculate KPIs for each operating unit to monitor cash collection, billing targets, and margins
Assist with the external audit process
Prepare the monthly financial reporting and forecast package for senior management
Evaluate internal controls and provide suggestions for process improvements
Maintain positive customer interactions and value the customer experience
Collaborate with project teams to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of their reporting and forecasting
Prepare revenue and margin variance analysis to understand significant financial risks or opportunities
Analyze monthly P&L forecast and provide financial insight to Controller and Vice President, Special Projects

Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision as well as in a team environment

Professional accounting designation (CPA/CPA, CA) or in-progress
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Self-motivated and proactive in managing workload and professional development
Public accounting firm or industry experience in real estate/construction preferred
2 - 3 years of experience in finance and accounting function
Ability to build effective and productive working relationships across operating units and within the finance team
Resourceful, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems (such as NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle) is considered an asset
