Work closely with other departmental Mechanics to keep equipment and facilities in good repair.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing plant equipment (Includes pumps, valves, process lines, etc).
Promote total quality and safety.
Work closely with Production and perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure that equipment is operating satisfactorily.
Preventive maintenance of process equipment (i.e. boiler, air compressors, cooling tower, etc).
Repair and adjustments for standard drive equipment, such as motors and pumps.
Order parts from approved vendor under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Possess the necessary skills to be proficient in tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems in at least 3 of the following areas:
Ability to lift 50 pounds, drive a forklift, lift, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Demonstrate ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Have a high school degree or equivalent. (Required)
Maintenance: 1 year (desired)
Demonstrable understanding of instrumentation/controls.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems in the following areas: Welding, Plumbing, Electrical, Pipefitting, Machinery/Equipment Maintenance
Ability to read blue prints, understand mechanical manuals and/or electrical schematics.
Must have experience and knowledge in the following areas:
Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hard hat, gloves, and respirator.
Work effectively as a crewmember of a team and maintain good working relations with others.
Ability to work in extreme heat and humidity as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
