Mentor and oversee junior estimators where applicable
Work closely with project managers, operations, and leadership during preconstruction
Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as required
Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate take-offs and pricing
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
Develop and manage bid strategies, including risk assessment and value engineering
Lead the preparation of detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects
As Senior Electrical Estimator, you will take ownership of the estimating function, leading bid strategy, producing accurate and competitive estimates, and supporting business growth. This is a senior, hands-on role with influence across preconstruction, operations, and leadership.
Track historical cost data and market trends to improve estimating accuracy
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of NEC, local Texas codes, and construction methods
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, or similar)
7+ years of experience in electrical estimating within an electrical contracting environment
Proven experience leading estimates on mid to large-scale projects
