Civil Engineer I - Land Development

Description

• Interacts primarily with internal project team members.
• Assists in researching applicable regulations.
• Assists on tasks such as field activities, material testing, CADD work, permit applications, and report writing.
• Observes construction activities
• Collects data and gathers information or documents.
• Performs engineering design for land development projects, including stormwater and erosion and sediment control design, NPDES permitting, etc..
• Follows tasks through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• Assists with preparation of engineering deliverables.
• Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.

Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and stormwater programs (Hydraflow and/or HydroCAD).
• Acknowledges and practices basic principles of formal/informal communication, teamwork, and leadership.
• Strong technical, design, and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Recent graduate to 5 years of experience.
• Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• EIT certification is a plus.
