Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: power electronics topology analysis, converter modelling and control, application of power electronics in the power system (e.g. HVDC, FACTS, microgrid, renewable energy integration, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure), control theory, reliability, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn new technologies.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Solid theoretical background with publications in renowned transactions and conferences.
Proficient in computation and simulation tools, e.g., Matlab, Simulink, PSCAD, PLECS, etc.
