Construction Project Manager

Description

You will have full control of the project, including labour management, margin monitoring, procurement, client communications, and team leadership. Working closely with the Projects Director, you will also recruit, mentor, and develop scaffolders and apprentices, driving performance and growth across the workforce.

As the Projects Manager, you will own the successful delivery of a major long-term project, ensuring all milestones are met, safety is prioritised, and operational and commercial performance is maximised.

• Oversee site inspections, scaffold handovers, and audits.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of scaffolders and apprentices.
• Protect and enhance the financial performance of the project.
• Take full control of project delivery, ensuring all deadlines, KPIs, and budgets are met.
• Inspire, mentor, and manage your team to deliver consistent excellence.
• Authorise weekly wages and monitor team performance.
• Document and report on safety initiatives and training.
• Allocate labour, forecast requirements, and manage shortages or surpluses.
• Ensure all scaffolders are fully trained and competent (including internal Bespoke software Tuubes).
• Ensure compliance with NASC guidance and up-to-date legislation.
• Monitor margins, costs, and resource utilisation.
• Set high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
• Oversee stock management, site organisation, and material efficiency.
• Champion a safety-first culture, working closely with the H&S team.
• Oversee delivery of Friday packs from supervisors
• Manage project invoicing, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ensure all scaffolding work complies with TG20:21, SG4:22, and bespoke designs.
• Manage point of work risk assessments and lead communication and training
• Lead Toolbox Talks, Training Needs Analysis, and RAMS preparation.
• Create and deliver Safe method launches
• Collaborate with senior managers to align operational delivery with company standards.
• Act as the central point of contact for all project-related decisions.
• Ensure high-quality service standards across labour, stock, transport, and yard operations.

Requirements

Qualifications (Preferred but Training Provided)

Allsafe Scaffolding is expanding rapidly, and we are looking for an ambitious, high-performing Project Manager to take complete ownership of a flagship project in Oxford on a fixed-term contract (minimum 12 months, possible extension to 18 months).

• Temporary Works Coordinator qualification advantageous
• Strong leadership, organisational, and prioritisation skills
• Experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in managing large, high-profile construction projects.
• Previous experience managing large scaffolding projects
• Confident decision-maker who can manage conflict and motivate a team.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Extensive knowledge of scaffolding operations and design
• Tie Testing
• UK driving licence
• Natural communicator who builds trust with clients, site teams, and senior management.
• Comfortable managing multiple fast-paced tasks simultaneously
